Update: The Bank at Station Close
We have an excellent update for the formerly overgrown bank at Station Close!
Today, the Mayor, Councillor Nigel Kenneally & the Chair of Parks Committee met with Scott Cholwill to thank him for his hard work at Station Close.
With the help of a Scott Cholwill from SC Garden Maintenance, the bank at Station Close which used to be overgrown, has now been cut back and mulched, improving the appearance of the area.
We are committed to keeping our community clean and well-kept. This is just one of the many ongoing projects aimed at improving the Holsworthy for everyone.
Keep an eye out for more updates!

A Delicate Otter Carving
The Mayor, Councillor Nigel Kenneally, graciously accepted a hand-carved otter, created from part of an ash tree that once stood tall in Holsworthy Memorial car park.
The otter carving was kindly donated to the town by experienced local woodcarver, Mr Chris Osborne.
Thank you Mr Chris Osborne, this wonderful carving will be an excellent addition to the Market Chambers.
Today, New Bollard’s Installed
TODAY! Monday, 27th January 2025, new bollards were installed outside the Manor Offices.
Holsworthy Town Council and Torridge District Council worked together on this project to improve the area.
The bollards were installed at the Manor Offices / Manor Car Park to keep pedestrians safe and prevent unauthorised vehicles from driving over the grass, which was causing damage.
Holsworthy Town Council & Torridge District Council appreciate the community’s support and patience during the installation.
