Mayor Councillor Nigel Kenneally’s Coffee Morning

On Wednesday, 8th January 2025, Holsworthy Town Council held the Mayor’s Charity Coffee Morning at Holsworthy Memorial Hall from 9am-12pm.

We are pleased to announce that our coffee morning raised £154.56 after expenses, for the Mayor’s Charities 2024/25:

Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society & Friends of Holsworthy Primary School.

We would also like to give a big thanks to; HATS, Woolacotts, Holsworthy Factory Shop, Shepherds Hardware, Holsworthy Pets, Yarns of Holsworthy, Health Food Shop & more for kindly donating raffle prizes and supporting the successful coffee morning.

In addition to our coffee morning, we felt it was important to give thanks to Holsworthy Lions, Holsworthy Town Band & Holsworthy Youth Club for their incredible support at Holsworthy’s Christmas Switch On event that took place on Saturday 30th November 2024.

Therefore, at our Coffee Morning, Holsworthy’s Mayor, Councillor Nigel Kenneally presented 3 cheques of £100 to each of the organisations to express our appreciation for their continued support.

Don’t forget, our Mayor’s Charity Coffee Morning is tomorrow!

It will be held in Holsworthy Memorial Hall from 9am to 12pm.

There will be a raffle, teas / coffee and biscuits, in addition to several stalls to browse, including a home baked cake stall provided by members of HATS.

Important Road Closure Notice for Holsworthy’s Christmas Switch on Event

Holsworthy's annual Christmas Switch on Event is nearing!

We are excited to bring some festive cheer to Holsworthy with our annual Christmas Light Switch-On Event!

To ensure everyone's safety during this magical celebration, we have 3 road closures in place as follows:

  • Putting up Christmas Lights & Trees (Sunday 24th November 2024)
  • Christmas Switch On (Friday 29th November - Sunday 1st December 2024
  • Taking down Christmas Lights & Trees (Sunday 5th January 2025)

Please plan your journey's on these dates accordingly and follow any diversion signs.
We appreciate your cooperation in making this event a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!

Remembrance Sunday

Holsworthy Remembrance Sunday Service & Parade- Sunday, 10th November 2024

Holsworthy Remembrance Parade to take place on Sunday 10th November 2024

To participate in the parade assemble in the Square, Holsworthy at 14:30 for a 14:45 start.

The Parade will commence at 14:45 and continue from the Square, left along Fore Street to St Peter & St Paul’s Church.

After arriving at St Peter & St Paul’s Church the Remembrance Sunday will commence at 15:00.

After the Service the Wreath laying will commence, organised by the Royal British Legion.

The parade will continue past the Church, turn left at Western Road and right wheel round the traffic island, continuing past the War Memorial, along Fore Street and returning to the Square to be dismissed.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
