Re-roofing Works at 5 Penrose Terrace, Bodmin Street, Holsworthy
Holsworthy Town Council invites written expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified roofing contractors for re-roofing works to a Council-owned terraced house at 5 Penrose Terrace, Bodmin Street, Holsworthy.
The Council’s preferred programme would see the works completed during 2026.
The works are anticipated to include:
Provision of scaffolding and all necessary access and protection;
Careful removal of the existing roof slates, with suitable slates set aside for reuse wherever practicable;
Inspection and repair of the existing roof structure, as required;
Replacement of roof battens;
Installation of salvaged and/or new roof slates, underlay, flashings and associated components;
Renewal or repair of rainwater goods, fascias and soffits where required;
Making good adjoining surfaces and junctions with neighbouring properties; and
Compliance with all applicable health and safety and Building Regulations requirements.
Contractors must be able to demonstrate relevant experience, appropriate insurance cover and suitable health and safety arrangements. References for comparable projects may also be requested.
Expressions of interest should include:
Company and contact details;
A brief summary of relevant experience;
Details of appropriate accreditations and insurance cover;
Availability to undertake the works; and
Confirmation that the contractor wishes to receive the detailed tender documents.
Expressions of interest must be received by 12 noon on Friday 14 August 2026 and submitted by email to townclerk@holsworthytowncouncil.gov.uk or in writing to:
