Holsworthy’s Annual Towns Meeting & Presentation Evening

Residents are kindly invited to attend Holsworthy Town Council’s Annual Town Meeting and Presentation Evening.

Date: Wednesday 13th May 2026
Time:6.45 for a 7pm start.
Location: Holsworthy Memorial Hall

This is an opportunity for local electors to:

– Ask questions about local matters
– Hear about the work of the Town Council
– Celebrate the presentation of community grants and awards
– Meet your Town Councillors

Refreshments will be available after the meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to an informative and friendly evening.

All are welcome to attend.

Stanhope Play Park Improvements

Stanhope Playpark improvements are complete and the Playpark is now open. Repairs were made to the toddler play unit, a new flat swing and chains were installed and a complete upgrade to the playpark surfacing.

Thank you for your patience as these upgrades were made and please enjoy the improved facilities.

TDC Bank Holiday Collection Dates

Easter Bank Holiday – Collection Dates

With the Easter bank holiday fast approaching, Torridge District Council is reminding residents that there will be some changes to their usual waste and recycling collection days. 🐰🥚♻️

All refuse and recycling collections will take place one day later than usual from Friday 3 April, with normal schedules resuming on Monday 13 April.

Each year, the Town Council provides a number of small grants to support projects and services run by local community or voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations. These grants are intended for groups whose activities contribute to and benefit the community of Holsworthy and its residents.

Grants are limited and are available to organisations that can demonstrate a clear need for assistance. Funding can be used to support:

– Equipment costs
– Community activities
– Day-to-day running and operational expenses
