Christmas Tree Festival
St Peter & St Paul’s church are starting to make preparations for their Annual Christmas Tree Festival.
This year tree decorating will take place on Mon 8th (after 3pm) & Tues 9th and the Festival will run Weds 10th to Sun 14th Dec.
If your community group/organisation/business/charity would like to have a tree in the Festival this year, contact St Peter & St Paul’s Church.

Holsworthy & Stratton Show – Survey Results.
On 28th August 2025, Holsworthy Town Council attended the Holsworthy & Stratton Agricultural Show.
Alongside speaking with residents and answering questions, Holsworthy Town Council held a hamper giveaway, where residents could enter by completing a short survey.
The results of the survey highlighted the top issues residents feel our community is facing. The top three issues were:
1. Health services
2. Public transport and roads
3. Housing and infrastructure
A total of 41 surveys were completed.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete a survey.
FREE support for all things digital
Devon Communities are hosting a Digital Skills project.
The Digital Skills Devon project aims to reduce digital health inequalities by enhancing digital capabilities among vulnerable populations in rural and coastal Devon. It will deliver tailored digital skills training using a proven Digital Skills Framework, enabling participants to access essential services independently.
Project Objectives:
• Deliver inclusive, needs-based digital skills training.
• Support independent living through improved access to digital health and care services.
• Reduce skills inequality by targeting digitally excluded groups.
• Build community capacity by training VCSE organisations as digital support providers.
Who is this service for?
• Older adults
• Unpaid carers
• People with long-term physical and mental health conditions
• Disabled individuals (including neurodivergent)
• Individuals in isolated rural and coastal areas
• Long-term unemployed
Where is this service available?
For individuals residing in the following areas and surrounding villages;
• Holsworthy
• Exmouth
• Buckfastleigh
• Central Dartmoor
• Blackdown Hills
• Kenn Valley
• Bere Ferrers
What we offer?
• 1-2-1 support a maximum of 5 hours per individual or groups with the same or similar experiences

South Western Ambulance Service are hosting two sessions for everyone:
Session 1: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Session 2: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

This training is open to all – no prior experience needed. Learn how to use a defibrillator and perform essential life-saving steps in an emergency.
