Holsworthy Medical Centre

We still have some appointments left for this weekend, which will be our last first dose clinic for a while. If you are aged over 50 and have not heard yet, or you have received a text from us but could not use the link, please give us a call in the next couple of days on 01409 255254 to book your covid vaccine with us. The line is open 10-3 each weekday, but will be closed on Friday as our staff are off-site for care home vaccinations.

Tomorrow marks the start of the first lock down a year ago Holsworthy Benefice

Tomorrow marks the start of the first lock down a year ago.  The Church of England, in partnership with Marie Curie, Hope UK, Care for the Family and a clutch of other charities, have organised a National Day of Reflection to acknowledge grief and loss during the pandemic.  The Bishop of Exeter will be leading prayers at 11.45am from the Cathedral.  This will be broadcast live on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/CofEDevon/live_videos/?ref=page_internal .

In the Benefice we will be using the attached Act of Prayer at 7.30pm on Zoom and will then hold a minutes silence.   All are welcome.  Zoom details;

This prayer has been written to mark the anniversary:

Gracious God,

as we remember before you

the thousands who have died,

surround us and all who mourn

with your strong compassion.

Be gentle with us in our grief,

protect us from despair,

and give us grace to persevere

and face the future with hope

in Jesus Christ our risen Lord.

Amen

Yours in Christ,

Mother Elizabeth
