On Saturday 6th June 2026, Holsworthy Town Council celebrated the official opening of the new Sunlounge at Badock Gardens.
Despite the weather, guests enjoyed an afternoon tea and a scone. The event included speeches from the Deputy Mayor and Chair of Parks, Councillor Helen Parker and the Mayor of Holsworthy, Councillor Jon Hutchings, highlighting the importance of the newly renovated paths and sunlounge.
Following the speeches, the Mayor, Cllr Jon Hutchings officially opened the Sunlounge by cutting the ribbon. Councillors Jon Hutchings & Helen Parker then unveiled the plaque together, to mark the occasion.
The Sunlounge is now open to the public 10am-2pm, Monday to Fridays. Applications are also now open for those that wish to hire the Sunlounge.
Holsworthy Town Council would like to thank everyone that has helped with the project and attended and braved the windy conditions to make the grand opening a success.
