Sunlounge Now Open for Community Use and Private Hire Applications
The Sunlounge, Badock Gardens, is now open to the public for community use from 10am-2pm, Monday-Fridays, in accordance with the Holsworthy Town Council Community Use Policy.
Holsworthy Town Council will now also be accepting applications for private hire of the Sunlounge. Applications must be submitted using the approved application form and will be considered by Full Council in accordance with the Sunlounge Private Hire Policy.
Please note that all applications received for the private hire of the Sunlounge are subject to approval by Full Council.

What’s On at Holsworthy Library – June 2026
Sew Together, Monday 1st, 15th & 29th – 3:30pm-4:30pm. Bring your own hand sewing project. An informal and supportive group rather than a class or lesson!
Bounce & Rhyme, Thursday 4th, 11th, 18st & 25th – 2:15pm-2:45pm . Songs and stories for children 0-4 years old. Term time only.
Devon Family Hub Drop In Advice Session, Thursday 4th – 2pm-4pm. FREE Family Advice & Guidance to anyone with a child aged 0-19 (up to 25 with SEND). Call 0800 5385458 Mon-Fri 10am-4pm for advice & guidance if you can’t make the sessions.
Community Plant Swap & Giveaway – Come along any time during opening hours in the week between 6th-13th June with any excess plants you have bought/grown and then browse the available plants to take away and grow. Not grown anything yourself? Choose your favourite plant and take it home!
Gardening Cuppa and Chat, Wednesday 10th – 2pm-3pm. A monthly meeting to talk all things gardening. Everyone welcome.

It is free to join the library, and we are a friendly, welcoming space open to all. Free hot drinks are available, and people are encouraged to use the library as a place to relax, work and socialise as well as to find their next great read!
For children, the library offers weekly Bounce and Rhyme sessions, a Saturday Club, craft activities and stories during the holidays as well as the popular Secret Book Quest and Libro’s Friends reading schemes.
We regularly host a Lloyds Community Banker, evening talks and other events so keep an eye out for posters or on our social media and website.

Community Wellbeing – Thriving Together
TTVS & Active Torridge are holding a Community Wellbeing event called Thriving Together whereby community groups, activities and services in Holsworthy will be showcased.
There will be free bouncy castle soft play and swim, offers of membership, free face painting and refreshments.

Summer Planting in the Square
With summer just around the corner, the Town Ranger has been hard at work, refreshing the tiered planters and in preparation for the season ahead, helping keep Holsworthy colourful and welcoming for residents and visitors.
